Books have always been a part of my life; it seemed only natural that my love for writing followed.

It started with filling pages of journals, to my first attempt at age seven to write a mini novel. As I got older, I continued to pursue this love for reading and writing by obtaining my Bachelors of Arts with Honours in English Literature and History from Carleton University, specializing in Canadian and American literature.I have always been in love with the power that can be found behind a single word and the even greater power behind a collection of many. We often don’t realize how powerful words can be, or how the echo of such words can inspire or touch countless lives. I have always recognized this emotional connection that can be established and I wanted to utilize it to inspire others.

Little Voice is my first published story. It is a story that offers an inspiring and encouraging message which focuses on the reader’s inner voice. This inner voice teaches children to be confident, creative, ambitious and proud of who they are.

The characters struggle with their doubts and fears, feeling alone, discouraged, uncertain and scared, but in listening to their little voice they are reminded of their intelligence, creativity, drive and inner strength. More importantly, their little voice motivates them to believe in themselves and to fulfill their dreams. Though intended for children between the ages of six and twelve, Little Voice is a story where every reader, young or old, can feel inspired by its positive, inspiring and motivating message.
