Jennifer Dale Stables is an Internationally recognized artist, author, and educator.  She holds both a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) from the University of Calgary in Canada.  Jennifer&;s life-long dream has been to create picture books for children– a dream that became a reality for her in 2013 when she began her business, Jenny Dale Designs.  After teaching Kindergarten for nearly a decade, Jennifer felt it was time to take a leap of faith and focus her professional endeavors on her art. She began creating artwork for children&;s rooms and nurseries, and writing poetry to accompany each one of her creations.  After a few short months Oopsy Daisy– a publishing house in California, picked up her artwork.  Many of her art prints can now be found on most major online retail stores including Rosenberry Rooms, Houz, Amazon, and  Interest in Jennifer&;s writing steadily grew and she published her first book, Arthur the Pig, in 2013, followed by To the Moon and Back in 2014.  Since then she has written and illustrated 6 of her own books, and illustrated two other books for fellow indie authors.  Jennifer&;s latest book, Greenie the Wheat King, has gained popularity throughout the province of Alberta, Canada and she has travelled to many rural communities as a guest speaker.  Jennifer&;s artwork and books can be found at

Prairie's Past: Celebrating the Grain Elevator

Artist, author, and educator, Jennifer Stables, shares a piece of Canadian history through her art residency workshops.  Drawing inspiration her book, Greenie the Wheat King, Jennifer leads classes in the creation of their own artwork about the prairies.  Jennifer offers projects in a variety of mediums including watercolour, clay, papier mache, and wire sculpture.  Each one of her classes are tailored to suit the needs of individual classrooms and teachers.  Jennifer is a former classroom teacher with experience teaching grade K-9.  She currently offers art residencies to schools throughout Alberta and is regarded as one of Calgary&;s premiere artists in residence.  Author visits and readings are also available.
